Visiting the area and looking for a Sunday evening meal. The New High Tide Fish and Chip shop came to our rescue. Speaking to the owners, they have been open just a few weeks. The restaurant was lovely and clean, staff were lovely and the food was hot and delicious. Great price, great food and great restaurant. You can eat in or take away. We will be back when next in the area.

Was having a lovely chat with the chef, and seeing that I couldn't decide between a spicy curry or some fish, he was like "I got you fam" and made me a special dish off the menu, a cod with a spicy massala batter! and it was delicious! the fillet was tender and full of flavour and the batter, while not too spicy, had a lovely interesting flavours within it's crisp layers, really amazing! I opted not to go for the chips as i'm on a diet, but will definitely come back to ask for this! Try asking for a spicy massala batter and hopefully they'll make another one, would recommend!

I ordered Chicken Tikka & Chips and it was delicious! The chips were soft and crispy and the chicken tikka cooked to perfection and flavoursome! Will definitely go back again it’s my regular go to now !! 100% recommended!

We went to High Tide on Saturday evening with family and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. 5 standard portions of fish and chips and a child’s sausage and chips for the wife. We had mushy peas and curry sauce both came in ordinary size polystyrene cups as you would expect and tasted good. Great fish, sausage and chips and non greasy, cooked fresh by warm and welcoming staff. We had more than enough food for all of us and the dog finished off what was left. Had I read previous reviews, one from two months ago we may not have bothered. Why would someone who works in a chip shop go to another business and moan about it, sounds a bit fishy to me? ;) Bravo High Tide!
